Our Story

Since arriving in Ojai on June 19 of 2019 for my Birthday celebration getaway, my partner David and I instantly fell in love; the energy, the community, the sense of belonging, and the open heartedness of the people that we came in to contact with was exactly what we had been dreaming of.
We simply asked the universe “Universe, if it’s meant to be, please help us get to Ojai”
One month later we were literally moving to Ojai, after quitting our jobs, finding that almost impossible to find “guest house rental” and opening our first ever business; a cute, month long “Pop-up shop” Starborn Healing selling our crystals - many of which came from our personal collection, at that time we simply didn’t have the funds for a huge budget on inventory - and offering our Energy Healing services. We had received the answer to our call and felt the magnetism of energy that makes Ojai so magical & unique.
We are so very grateful for the opportunities that were brought to us at a time when the world was struggling to make sense of the predicament we found ourselves in, with overcoming a worldwide shutdown, when supporting one another and leaning on one another took precedence over everything else.
Shortly after the ending of the pandemic we launched Starborn Wellness a wellness center and a home for all who were seeking healing in whichever form that may come; whether it be dance, movement, energy work, Reiki, spiritual support, or simply just a connection to like minded, open hearted people, to come and enjoy a cup of tea with us and have a good old fashioned chitchat amongst friends.
It truly was a dream come true! In such a short space of time for David and I to realize our dreams and to witness them come to fruition in ways that we could never have conceived.
We continue to expand our offerings as our community continues to grow and the requests for various forms of medicine be sought. Follow "Starborn Wellness Ojai" on Facebook or Instagram and YouTube to keep up to date with all of our offerings and scheduled events.
Our desire to be part of a community has truly been realized and a feeling of belonging has grown and continues to grow as our footprint within this wonderful community continues to expand. Not only do we find our Wellness Center expanding in magical ways but now too is our family as we welcomed our first child, Aurum Nikos Blackman on January 3rd 2022, into our lives and into our village of generously open hearted friends that have quickly become family to us, which first began in the first few days of being welcomed into this incredible community and who continue to stand by our sides loving and supporting us every step of the way in this beautiful chapter of our life’s.
David & I hold so much gratitude in our hearts to all of you who have supported us, grown with us and continue to evolve; along this journey called “life” we feel honored to plant our roots, begin our family and truly feel “at home" in magical, unique, Ojai.
